Aqua natale: A 10 Day Training Retreat

Water of body temperature is the primary element that supports and surrounds us during our prenatal phase. In water feelings of surrendering and lightness are expressed as well as a deep inner acceptance of life itself. Often this reality is buried by the circumstances of birth or life after birth, with the consequence that essential development potential remains inaccessible. People are now rediscovering water as the medium which plays a central role in conscious conception, pregnancy, and birth. People are returning to the water to heal birth/trauma and to open themselves to the untapped potential in their lives. Couples are seeking water to facilitate wellness in their partnership and pregnancy and to promote a gentle arrival for their children.

Mothers bring their newborns into the warm water to support bonding and breast feeding. Persons who serve and support others experience the deeply nourishing and supporting potential of the element water.

This educational experience in body-tempered water will provide you with a tender approach to pregnancy, birth and the postnatal phase enhanced by harmonizing the five elements: air, earth, fire, water and wood through Tantric Bodyenergywork. You will move and be moved in water reconnecting to the sensations of origin.


Training Structure:

Contents comprise elements of body-work in warm water (holding and movement techniques floating and under water), breathing meditation and breath releasing in water, visions, Zapchen somatics and how to deal with fears and become sensitive and aware of intuition. Optimal birth preparation and postpartum regeneration are specially emphasized. In agreement with the trainer the participants will receive an Aqua natale certification which authorizes the individual to apply the Aqua natale method for preparation and assistance during childbirth and the postnatal period. To maintain the certification, an annually offered supervision weekend will help you to remain up to date with the working method.

Date and Information:

Date:	September 29. to October 08.2001. Please arrive one day before the seminar starts.
Location:	Hotel Orbtal, Bad Orb, Germany, close to Frankfurt International Airport.
Registration and fee:	If paid (crossed money order check) before May 01.2001 the fee is DM 1.250 (or equivalent in Euro) for the seminar. After that date the fee is DM 1.500 (or equivalent in Euro). You have to pay the costs for accommodation and catering (comprising two hot meals daily) and the swimming pool fee extra.

The number of participants will be 16 maximum. The retreat might be canceled on condition that the number of participants is too low.

Course Facilitator: Sabine Neumann

Sabine Neumann conducts birth preparation seminars and trains midwives, doulas and obstetricians in the application of her method. Sabine Neumann is working as a healing practitioner (psychotherapy), career coach and as a wellness trainer. She is trained and experienced in Gestalt Therapy, Watsu, WaterDancing, Oceanic Aqua Balancing and Tantric Energy Work (Zapchen Somatics according to Julie Henderson (USA)). She founded the Aqua natale method and institute in order to use and establish the element of water for birth preparation, during delivery and for the postnatal phase.
