AUTHORS' BIOS AND RESIDENCE:

Marshall H. Klaus, MD, internationally known neonatologist and researcher, is the author or co-author of several standard works in the field, including Bonding,,(with Dr Kennell and Phyllis Klaus) Care of the High-Risk Newborn, and Mothering the Mother,(with Dr. Kennell and Phyllis Klaus) and an editor of the Yearbook of Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine. He teaches pediatrics at the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine.

John H, Kennell MD is Professor of Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve Medical School and Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio. Together with Marshall Klaus, he was awarded the Anderson Aldrich Award in Pediatrics, the highest award in the profession.

Phyllis H. Klaus, C.S.W., M.F.C.C. teaches and practices psychotherapy at the Erikson Institute in Santa Rosa and practices in Berkeley, California, working especially with the concerns of pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. Together with Marshall Klaus, she is co-author of Your Amazing Newborn.
